Before renovation walls were covered with very dated wallpaper. But it wasn't the problem.
Problem was that wallpaper was glued directly to the drywall panels. While removing the wallpaper walls were damaged and it was hard to make them smooth again, all imperfections were visible.
To hide that problem, we used a faux paint technique and it worked perfectly.
New tiles, counter top and light fixture were added to finish the look.

Great great designs on your blog. Found this great shag rug that will go with that bathroom. Check out http://www.rugsdoneright.com and check out rug number 6300/55. This will turn that bathroom to midnight blue heaven.
In this powder room floor covered with multicolored blue tiles, and when you sit and doing your stuff there - it feels like you are under the water in the ocean.
